A glowing legacy: Dubai Garden Glow’s dazzling displays lit up Zabeel Park for 10 unforgettable years.

After a decade of lighting up the city with magic, colour and creativity, Dubai Garden Glow has officially closed its doors at Zabeel Park. Since it opened in 2015, the park has become a cherished spot for residents and tourists alike—famous for its glowing sculptures, eco-friendly art, and life-sized animatronic dinosaurs.

But don’t consider this a farewell. It’s more of a fresh beginning.

In a recent announcement shared via the park’s official social media platforms, Dubai Garden Glow confirmed it has closed at the Zabeel Park location. However, it also shared a glimmer of exciting news: the beloved attraction will reopen soon in a brand-new location, complete with a “brand new concept” that promises to elevate the experience.

For ten seasons, Dubai Garden Glow was more than just a park—it was an immersive walk-through of glowing creativity. With installations made from recycled materials, interactive zones, and entire sections dedicated to glowing wildlife and imaginative themes, it offered locals and tourists a one-of-a-kind evening experience under the stars.

The close of the Dubai Garden Glow is due to the transformation of the Zabeel Park as a result of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. This vision includes plans of working on key public spaces to improve sustainability and well-being of the residents. A key project within the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan is Therme Dubai, which will be the first wellness-focused resort and park in the Middle East.

Backed by the Therme Group and approved by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan, Therme Dubai is expected to set a new standard for modern luxury and wellness. With a massive investment of Dh2 billion, the upcoming resort will feature thermal pools, 15 water slides, giant waterfalls, the world’s largest indoor botanical garden, and even a Michelin-starred restaurant—all within a futuristic, 500,000-square-foot space.

Therme Dubai is expected to open its doors by 2028, and work is already in motion, Zabeel Park is being redesigned to make space for this exciting vision.

As for Dubai Garden Glow, it has been a source of beautiful memories and has been meaningful to everyone – creatives, kids, and families alike. It wasn’t just a park—it was a place that brought smiles, sparked imagination, and showed us having fun and staying safe can go hand in hand. Including glowing tunnels and creative art made from recycled materials, it was a space where families made memories and felt a bit of magic.
