Eddie Murphy Peels Back the Curtain in New Documentary Trailer “Being Eddie”

Published

on

After almost 50 years of making people laugh, Eddie Murphy is finally sharing his story. Netflix has released the trailer for Being Eddie, a new documentary that gives a rare look into the life of one of comedy’s biggest and most private stars. The film premieres November 12, 2025, and it looks like it’s going to show a side of Murphy that fans have never really seen. The documentary is directed by Angus Wall, who won an Oscar for editing The Social Network. It traces Eddie Murphy’s rise from a young stand-up comic to one of the biggest names in entertainment. The trailer highlights the biggest moments in Eddie Murphy’s career, his breakthrough on Saturday Night Live, blockbuster films like Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America, and his unforgettable role in Shrek. But this time, the story focuses on Eddie himself, not the characters he played.

What stands out most in the trailer is Murphy’s own voice. He talks candidly about the early days of performing in New York clubs, how fame hit him almost overnight, and the pressure of being a young Black man suddenly in charge of the biggest comedy spotlight in America. “My stuff took off because they’d never seen a young Black person take charge,” he says at one point, a line that hits hard because it’s true.

The film also weaves in interviews with a who’s who of comedy: Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, and Jerry Seinfeld all share what Murphy meant to them and how he changed the game. From their stories, you get a sense that Eddie isn’t just another successful comedian, he’s the blueprint.

What’s most intriguing is that Being Eddie isn’t just about fame or success. The trailer shows Eddie Murphy opening up his home for the first time, giving viewers a glimpse into his private world. For someone who’s been famous longer than most of his fans have been alive, Murphy has stayed private. This documentary feels like him finally saying, Here’s who I really am.

In a joyful moment that’s lighting up social media, Selena Gomez had one of those “you-know-you’re being celebrated” entrances on The Jennifer Hudson Show thanks to its now-famous “Spirit Tunnel” segment.

When Selena appeared, the crew welcomed her by handing her flowers as she made her walk through. The gesture was sweet, unscripted-feeling, and authentic, exactly the kind of moment that social-feeds love. Clips of her reaction showed her delight and perhaps a little surprise, which makes it all the more genuine.

The Spirit Tunnel segment isn’t just about showmanship; it’s about spotlighting the guest and giving them their moment. According to the show’s host Jennifer Hudson, the purpose is “good energy, we just want to celebrate with everybody when you come to the show.”

For Selena, this may have been more than a standard appearance. The flower’s hand-off felt like a public nod of appreciation and the delighted smile clinched it. Social-media posts tagged the scene with “well-deserved flowers” and noted how the hallway entrance had become her stage to shine.

What’s interesting is how the Spirit Tunnel narrative continues to grow. Other guests have done memorable entries, and viewers now anticipate the creativity: chants, music, sometimes dance, and of course the joy on the guest’s face.

From Tropics to Alps–The “White Lotus” Season 4’s Bold Shift in Setting

Published

on

The White Lotus’ shifts from sunny tropical resorts to the snowy Alps in Season 4. Since its 2021 debut, the show has gained a dedicated audience, drawn to its blend of luxury, intrigue, and complex character drama set in breathtaking locations. We’ve already had Hawaii’s beaches, Italy’s romance, and the energy of Thailand. Now, it’s the mountain’s turn. Creator Mike White takes the story to a brand-new setting: the snowy French Alps

Why the Alps?

The Alps offer a completely new setting. Gone are the beaches and poolside cocktails; instead, expect fur coats, fireplaces, ski parties, and the familiar tensions that make ‘The White Lotus’ so compelling. Each location so far has reflected deeper themes: Italy explored passion and indulgence, Thailand tackled identity and desire. The Alps may show isolation, challenges, and the hidden problems behind perfect vacations.

A Fresh Cast

Season 4 will introduce a fresh cast of guests, promising the complex interactions and drama fans expect. Season 3 brought us Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, and Patrick Schwarzenegger

When Can Fans Expect It?

Filming for season 4 hasn’t started yet. Production is set to begin in 2026, which means the new episodes probably won’t arrive until late 2026 or even 2027. It’s a long wait, but fans know the show always delivers when it finally returns.

The Secret Ingredient

What makes The White Lotus stand out isn’t just the luxury settings — it’s the sharp mix of beauty and disaster. Behind the five-star resorts are betrayals, secrets, and even death. The Alps will likely add a new layer of danger and tension, making the glamorous setting feel as unsettling as it is beautiful.

Conclusion

With each season, ‘The White Lotus’ reinvents itself. Season 4’s move to the Alps sets the stage for new explorations of desire, privilege, and the drama that unfolds behind the façade of luxury.
