Charli XCX  is revealing details about her future, hinting that music may no longer be her primary focus.

In a recent appearance on Quenlin Blackwell’s Feeding Starving Celebrities, Charli spoke candidly about her career. When asked if she harbored serious acting ambitions, she replied with her usual bluntness: “Yes, are you kidding? I want to quit music, babe, and act.” Blackwell noted that she worked hard in music even before her 2024 album, “Brat,” which received a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album. “What else is there to do?” Charli added, indicating interest in exploring other creative paths.

The transition is already in progress. With roles in the upcoming horror remake “Faces of Death” and projects like “I Want Your Sex” on the horizon, the 33-year-old singer is focusing more on acting roles.

She pitched her own cinematic vision: an “it-girl” version of “Final Destination,” which she shared on TikTok in May 2025, where the fatalities occur on fashion runways and at strobe-lit raves. “I name-checked you in it,” she told Blackwell in the series. “We’re all just running around being so hot, but being killed in the craziest ways.” It’s a concept that aligns with her history of high-concept music videos.

Beyond her own performances, Charli is taking on more roles in cinema. She recently spearheaded the soundtrack for the 2026 adaptation of “Wuthering Heights”, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, which featured her hit “Chains of Love.” Even as she focuses more on acting, Charli’s music continues to shape her projects, she is currently working on the soundtrack for “Mother Mary”, a project with Anne Hathaway in the role of a pop icon.
